Fishing – Small Pelagic Fish

We own a modern, fully equipped purse seiner fishing vessel named "IVOŠ", specialized in catching small pelagic fish such as sardines, anchovies, mackerel, and horse mackerel. The vessel was imported from the United States in 2006. Built from steel, it is 30.90 meters long and powered by an engine with 537 kilowatts of output.

The IVOŠ, together with its captain, operates with a crew of nine members and uses a purse seine net specifically designed for sardine fishing. It operates throughout the Adriatic Sea under Croatian jurisdiction, including within the Ecological and Fisheries Protection Zone (ZERP).

Our annual catch is around 500 tons of high-quality small pelagic fish. In most cases, the catch is transported in thermally insulated boxes using our own refrigerated vehicle to the Omega 3 Fishermen’s Cooperative processing facility located in the Šopot industrial zone, near Benkovac.

All our catch is marketed through the Omega 3 Fishermen’s Cooperative from Kali, of which we have been members since 2008, from the very beginning of the cooperative’s operations.
