About us

Mrotine d.o.o. is a family-owned company founded by the Ivoš family from Kali, on the island of Ugljan, just across from the city of Zadar. Established in 2001, our work is rooted in traditional island practices — marine fishing, focused on small pelagic fish, and olive growing, with the production of extra virgin olive oil.

Kali is considered the cradle of Croatian fishing and is home to some of the country’s finest fishermen. The local fleet is responsible for approximately a quarter of Croatia’s total annual catch. Kali’s fishermen have earned their reputation and respect on seas all around the world.

For those who have never visited this unique place, it is less known that the entire uninhabited area of the Municipality is covered with centuries-old olive groves, nestled in the island’s rugged karst landscape, just steps away from the Adriatic Sea.
